Use a Computer

The library has public computers with Internet access. This describes what we have and how to use them.
  • The George Public Library has three unfiltered computers available for public use.
  • Children under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian sign a consent form.  Parents or guardians, not the library or its staff , are responsible for the Internet information selected and/or accessed by their children.  Parents are encouraged to supervise their children's Internet sessions.
  • Use of the computers is on a first come, first served basis.  Due to limited workstations, a time limit of 30 minutes per day is allowed.
  • We have wireless internet available for those that wish to use this service.
  • A network printer is located near the front desk.  Printed copies are 10 cents per page.
  • Absolutley no food or drink are allowed in the computer area.
  • Software programs on the computers include:  Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Misuse of computer or Internet access will result in the loss of your computer privileges.
