For Children

Programs and services especially for children.

The George Public Library has the following children's programs available:

  • Conservation Hour:  Each month during the school year we have Conservation Hour at the library.  The Lyon Co. Conservation Office presents the program each month.  Conservation Hour is held the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 3:45-4:30.  The program is for children in preschool - 3rd grade.
  • Summer Reading Program:  The Summer Reading Program is a huge hit at the library.  The program runs for 6 weeks starting in June and is for children, 3 yrs. old - 3rd grade. This year's theme is "Catch The Reading Bug!".  More information will be available soon.
  • Special programs throughout the year.
